Testimony

Throughout my life I can say that I have been able to see Christ moving and leading me.  At an early age, my parents introduced me to Christ and His saving grace.  On September 7, 1979, during our family devotions, I made a profession of faith and realized that it was my sin that Christ carried on the cross.
That powerful concept rang true to me even at the age of six and I have tried ever since to allow Jesus to always lead my path.

My life has shown me that without God’s protection, I would not be who or where I am today.  In my early twenties I was the victim of a carjacking and kidnapping.  By the grace of God, my captors released me unharmed, but it was that event that would lead me down the career path that I am on now.  Later in thirties, I found myself with a young family and without a job, yet I can attest that God made all the provisions necessary to carry us through that difficult time.  The hardest part of my life was learning that our oldest son had been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  He was only 6, but God offered me a peace that only He can give and again, I was able to feel His guiding hand.  He is a God that is worthy of all of our praises.

I currently work full-time as an IT Consultant for Bluewater Consulting Group but have always listened carefully for a call to full-time ministry. God lead our family to serve at Immanuel Baptist Church for seven years where we enjoyed ministering in many ways. One of my greatest pleasures was building a worship team that displayed a heart of true worship, faithfulness, compassion and spiritual strength. Immanuel Baptist Church is a doctrinally sound church with friendly people, but the Lord continued calling my heart toward ministry. I currently serve at Mt. Laurel Evangelical Free Church as the part-time worship leader and still seek to follow the Lord’s leading.
